Now in his 12th season with the Nashville Predators, Mitch previously spent seven seasons as the Goaltender Coach for the Buffalo Sabres organization.
His hard work, superb communication skills, ability to “dissect" a goalie’s game, and great sense of humor has gained him the respect and friendship of those he has coached and worked with at all levels.
Fondly referred to as “Children of the Korn” (a phrase coined by Predator head coach Barry Trotz) these current and former goalies (many of whom are now coaching) have benefited from and helped spread the “goalie gospel according to Mitch”.
Besides having coached present and former pro goalies Dan Ellis, Pekka Rinne, Chris Mason, Marty Biron, Ty Conklin, Dominik Hasek, Tomas Vokoun, Olaf Kolzig, Drew MacIntyre and Mark Dekanich, Mitch has coached and influenced many who have (in the past) or who are currently coaching professionally. They include: Mike Valley (Dallas), Grant Fuhr (Phoenix), Clint Malarchuk (Columbus), Steve McKichan (Toronto), Mike Dunham (Islanders), Corey Hirsch (Toronto), Bob Janosz (Rochester – AHL), Karl Goehring (Syracuse-AHL), Ben Vanderklok (Milwaukee-AHL) and Wade Flaherty (Rockford-AHL).
In addition, Mitch has trained countless others who now are in the "goalie business" coaching and training a "new generation" of goaltenders. Some include Chris Economou, Bill Pye, Aaron Kinslow, Alan Avery, Nick Petraglia, Laura Pecchia, Mike Lane, Richard Shulmistra, etc.
Mitch has over 30 years of organizing and running summer hockey programs. Mitch will personally do all the coaching for each Goalie Camp. He is on ice for the entire week long and weekend goalie programs!

Shayne joins me in thanking you for an exceptional experience wherein he learned a lot about goaltending. Your team is really extraordinary and your teaching methods cannot be equaled anywhere in the USA including Canada. As you probably know, I took my son Mark to many camps in Canada and none could ever be compared to your superior camp. Shayne, who does not show much emotion and is very shy and holds back all of his responsiveness, talked very highly about you, Wolfie and Traggs during our trip southbound to Florida. He is a kind kid but people's first impression is usually "O this kid does not care", but inside him is a burning desire to be the best in everything he does. Mitch, all I can say is thank you from both of us.

| Just wanted to drop you a line thanking you for your efforts at the in Trenton, Michigan. My 10 year old son, Lucas, is in his 3rd year of hockey and 2nd being a goalie, and his passion and confidence could not be higher for which you are owed a large debt of gratitude. The skills, techniques and drills, both mental and physical, have helped this little boy to consistently get better with each repetition in practice or in the game. Most importantly, by heeding your advice and pushing himself with a little hard work, Lucas is having quite a bit of fun baffling his opponents in Squirt “AA” by constantly being in position and preparing himself for the next shot. Lucas has attended the 2008 & 2009 in Trenton and the staff couldn’t have treated him better. Coach Wolfie took a liking to Lucas this year and pushed him to get better, all the while making it enjoyable which is most important aspect to the father of a 10 year old. Thank you again Coach, good luck this year in Nashville and hope to see you in 2010.

Thank you very much for allowing me to come to your camp this year. You helped me alot in my goaltending skills and techniques. I don't get much instruction throughout the year in Las Vegas, except what my dad helps me with from your CD. My dad has become a better coach and I feel that I have become a better goalie because of you. Thank you for your help. I am truly grateful for everything you have taught me. I hope I can come back next year and my younger brother hopes to come to your defense camp too.
